There wasn’t much colour range in this shot, so I decided to use tinted colour and design elements to add a degree of vibrancy to this image.

I wanted to do something to the Harajuku photographs that would make them focus more on the fashion elements, colours and patterns that hold unique elements for each Harajuku individual. The resulting designs will be featured in an upcoming book.

 One of the coolest characters I saw in Harajuku square. This girl and her boyfriend ( previewing soon ) had a certain air about them that elevated them to another level. Stay tuned for an illustrated backdrop that combines this photograph with elements that owe a lot to Edgar Alan Poe.

I tried to convince these girls to engage with the camera, but all I got were giggles and indifference So I cheekily took this shot, politely thanked them and moved on.

Japanese fashion trends 2007

It seems that the Harajuku scene has competition from a rather unlikely source. Traditional japanese clothing is making a comeback.
